Associate Professor Low completed his MBBS degree in 1990, moved on to obtain his MRCP (UK) in 1996, and a postgraduate diploma in palliative medicine in 1999. He then became a Fellow, Academy of Medicine in Singapore in 2001, the FRCP (Edinburgh) in 2003 and finally an accredited specialist in palliative care in 2009.
His research interests are in geriatric medicine, palliative care, ethics, telemedicine, nursing homes, spirituality and advance care planning.
