Associate Professor Ding Yew Yoong is the Executive Director and Lead Scientist of GERI. He is also Senior Consultant, Department of Geriatric Medicine and Institute of Geriatrics and Active Ageing, Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
Associate Professor Ding conducts health services and policy research for older people. His substantive research interests include frailty, intrinsic capacity and models of geriatric care, while his methodological interests are implementation science, programme evaluation, evidence synthesis and causal inference.
He completed public health and social research methods training at the University of Queensland and the London School of Economics. He also completed research fellowships at the Bedford Veterans Affairs Center for Health Quality, Outcomes & Economic Research in Massachusetts, USA, and at the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences in Toronto, Canada.
