About the GERI 10th Anniversary Research Symposium
The Geriatric Education and Research Institute (GERI) will be commemorating our 10th Anniversary this year with a Research Symposium on 8 July 2025 to mark a decade of GERI’s contributions towards health policies, systems and practice for Singapore’s older population.
Themed “Translating Research for Healthy Ageing”, the Symposium will bring together a diverse slate of thought leaders and researchers for a robust exchange of ideas on evidence-informed policy-making, implementation research and ageing well in the community.

Message from Organising Co-Chairs
With the pressures of an ageing population, we need to redouble our efforts to create and translate research evidence that positively impacts the lives of older persons, by developing effective programmes, interventions and policies around what matters to them.
We are honoured and grateful to have a line-up of eminent speakers for this Symposium: international experts in knowledge translation and evidence-informed policymaking, clinician-scientists, healthcare practitioners and leaders of aged-care research organisations. This Symposium also highlights the work of our researchers, who will showcase findings from collaborative projects on topical ageing issues and address policy-based questions on frailty and dementia.
Through this Symposium and its expert panel discussion, GERI is proud to be the leading platform that brings together thought leaders, researchers, academics, policymakers and healthcare practitioners into a conducive place for formulation and exchange of ideas, and perhaps energise collaborative action for better care of the older person in Singapore.
